MAIN STREET

Main Street is an investment in the lives of our residents. It was built to provide entertainment, enjoyment, and fulfillment to our resident population. There are five separate areas providing fun, entertainment, and information:

The Movie Theater has a marquis outside and shows movies every morning & afternoon Monday through Friday and a matinee on Saturdays. You might see John Wayne, Elvis Presley, Charlton Heston, and many other stars of the big screen. You might also see some contemporary movies at our residents’ requests. The sound system is amazing and compliments the large viewing screen. It is hard to walk by the theater when the door is open and not step in to take in part of a show!

Donna’s Place is named after one of our past Activity Directors and is a soda shop, equipped with a popcorn machine and all the fixings for snacks, sodas, and ice cream. Donna’s Place is available to serve snacks during certain theater showings.

The Library & Reading Room provides a quiet place to relax and rejuvenate. Our Library is stocked with great reads and classic novels for our residents and guests. Come join us in the Library Room to catch up on the latest chapter of your novel, relax in the peace and quiet, or pick up a new title by a great author and exercise your imagination.

Our Computer Kiosk Area is equipped with six computers ready to surf the web, play solitaire, email family and friends, and the list goes on. The area is quiet, lined with large windows, and climate controlled for the resident’s comfort. Quiet, comfortable, and spacious – Texhoma’s Computer Kiosk Room is a wonderful place to retreat.

The Puzzles & Games Room is full of different games for our residents and guests to play including cards, checkers, dominoes, Scrabble, Monopoly, Life, and many more. For those who enjoy the quiet pace of thinking games, this area is perfect! There are puzzles of all skill levels for residents’ enjoyment. The Puzzles & Games area is a quiet place for fun and family!

Wii Fit took the country by storm, and our residents enjoy the chance to bowl, play tennis, and get fit without leaving the room! There are a myriad of game options with Wii Fit, and our residents have access to the Wii Fit room daily. It is an open area to provide a place to “move around.”
